Cloud Computing

Emergence of Cloud Computing

Modern cloud computing serves a similar role to traditional data centers, but differs in that it rents virtual computers rather than physical computers. This stems from the development of virtualization technology.

Advantages of Cloud Computing

  • Provides server resources, space, and network environment

  • Flexibly adjust computing power as needed

  • Unlike on-premises with fixed costs, only pay for what you use

  • Immediate migration to other computers possible

Disadvantages of Cloud Computing

  • Operating environment itself becomes dependent on cloud provider

  • When cloud services have problems, it affects the service environment
